Last December we held a session on AI for creative freelancers.
AI is fast becoming a household term, evolving faster than we can keep up. But what forms of AI are we actually engaging with in the cultural sector, and what does this mean for us and the planet? The session looked at how creative freelancers are using AI today. We explored some of the climate impacts, climate justice implications, and the creative and ethical trade-offs of engaging with AI or stepping back from it, and heard from an artist who has evolved their practice after engaging with AI.
