RESOURCE: The GreenCCIrcle HUB is now live. A new online platform for cultural and creative professionals across Europe, offering practical tools, case studies and resources for sustainability in the Cultural and Creative Industries. The HUB supports greener decision-making, skills development and knowledge sharing across sectors.

EVENT: Green Events & Innovations – The Sound of Sustainability. GEI is an annual conference focused on sustainability in the events sector, covering transport, energy, food, equality, inclusivity, climate justice, circularity, design and materials. Taking place at the Royal Lancaster London, includes: panels, case studies, quick-fire innovations and networking. Tuesday 24 February.

OPEN CALL: The Bethnal Green Nature Reserve is offering four micro-grants for artists to create billboard artworks responding to climate change and climate adaptation. They are looking for bold, accessible and imaginative proposals that help people engage with climate issues in ways that feel relevant, surprising and grounded in everyday life. Open to artists, designers, writers, illustrators and creatives working in any medium. Deadline to apply is Wednesday 25 February.

TRAINING: Step up your cinema’s sustainability game. BFI and BFI FAN, in partnership with Historic England, are offering online Carbon Literacy training for exhibitors ready to take practical climate action. This entry-level, interactive course will help you understand the climate emergency, reduce your cinema’s carbon footprint, and take meaningful steps (big or small) that make a difference. Delivered via Zoom across two half-day sessions on 26 February and 5 March 2026, with Carbon Literacy certification available for £10.

EVENT: BFI FAN Green Hour – Community Energy. A focused online session exploring how cinemas can partner with community-owned renewable energy projects to reduce costs, cut carbon emissions, and support a local, sustainable future. Wednesday 11 March, 13:00–14:00 (online).

TRAINING: How to develop a Decarbonisation Plan for a Heritage Building. Arts Council England, in partnership with Historic England, has launched a new series of beginner-friendly webinars to support heritage buildings and accelerate sector-wide decarbonisation. The sessions walk through the main steps in developing a Decarbonisation Plan and are particularly useful for cultural organisations working with historic sites. The webinars support the suite of guidance and resources developed through the Arts Council England and Historic England partnership, helping cultural and heritage organisations decarbonise their buildings.
