INTRODUCTION
Sian is a senior management consultant in the arts and culture sector working with organisations such as Northern Stage where she was Interim Executive Director (2024-2025), Stratford East, Wiltshire Creative, The Place, Art Fund, Artangel, Tamasha, tiata fahodzi, Charleston, LIFT, Birmingham Rep and the Kiln Theatre. She was previously Chief Executive of the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre (2015–2021), Executive Director of the Bush Theatre (2012-2014) and Associate Director for Theatre at Julie’s Bicycle (2010-2013). She was Head of Theatre for Arts Council England from 2000-2010.
Previously, Sian worked for a range of performing arts companies, producing and touring theatre and contemporary dance in the UK and overseas. She was the Executive Director of Siobhan Davies Dance Company, and Manager for Michael Clark Company, Aletta Collins Dance Company and Laurie Booth.
She is also a trustee of the Rose Theatre, Kingston and was previously Chair of Chiswick House and Gardens Trust (2023-2025), Chair of Frantic Assembly (2010-2020), trustee of the Gate Theatre (2015 – 2023), Vice Chair of the London Theatre Consortium, and on the advisory board of artist collective non zero one. Sian became a Clore Fellow in 2006 and served as a London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham Climate & Ecological Emergency Commissioner throughout 2020.
