INTRODUCTION
Gurjit joined Julie’s Bicycle in July 2026 as Culture & Climate Project Manager, working in partnership with Arts Council England on the Environmental Responsibility Programme, where she focuses on annual reporting, stakeholder engagement and resource development. Her role includes leading the development of new learning content and experiences for the Digital Learning Programme.
Previously, Gurjit worked with National Theatre’s Sustainability and Learning teams, supporting departments across the organisation to embed environmental responsibility through action plans, data gathering, impact measurement, and developing case studies and reports that translated evidence into practical insight for decision makers.
Gurjit’s background spans technical leadership across music, theatre, live events and touring, as well as multidisciplinary arts organisations where she delivered backstage and front-of-house creative and technical projects as well as young people’s training programmes. This experience informs her interest in systems thinking, inclusive learning, skills-sharing and the role culture plays in supporting meaningful climate action and social justice. She is motivated by shaping conditions which enable creative communities to work together and create lasting change through collaboration, learning and shared purpose.
She is an Associate Member of ISEP, a CISL alumna and a Clore Emerging Leader. She continues to develop her practice in systems thinking, collaborative leadership and climate action within the creative and cultural sectors.
