INTRODUCTION

Emily is a people-focused operations leader with a passion for helping teams thrive through inclusive, human-centred practices. She brings expertise and creativity to designing equitable and efficient systems that enable organisations to navigate change, foster collaboration and create cultures where people feel supported to do their best work.

Having recently joined Julie’s Bicycle, Emily aims to use her skills in people, culture and operations to support and champion the team, helping to create the conditions for colleagues to continue delivering meaningful climate action across the arts and culture sector.

Alongside her professional practice, Emily has over 20 years’ experience as a photographer and visual artist, studying Photography and Styling at London College of Fashion before completing the Turps Banana Offsite Painting Programme in 2021. She has also spent more than a decade making experimental music with Far Rainbow and co-curating the Zerowave experimental music series. Emily is Chair of Roots to Light Scholars, a grassroots organisation advocating for Palestinian students and students affected by conflict.

Across her professional, creative and community work, she is committed to fostering equity, creativity and collective care.
