Our supporters: A Community of Change
At JB, we deeply appreciate the contributions of time, energy, knowledge, ideas, and insight from those whose belief in our mission helps power our work.
From programme funders and corporate donors to long-term partners and pro-bono supporters, each contribution helps us drive the cultural and climate transformation needed.
Our programme funders
We are grateful for the continued support of so many funders who have accompanied us over many years. From Porticus and Paul Hamlyn, to institutions such as Arts Council England, the British Council, and the British Film Institute – our programme and project funders enable us to deliver transformative initiatives like Creative Climate Leadership and the Digital Accelerator Project. These relationships are critical to our continued growth and success, supporting our work at the intersection of climate and culture.
ethical fundraising
We are an organisation working towards transformative climate justice. As such, we’re committed to a rapid, systemic and equitable transition, with a view to changing the social, economic and political systems that cause climate injustice to begin with.
This means we’re guided by principles of fairness, equity and non-violence and we’re currently working towards designing an ethical fundraising policy that helps us make sure that funds that support our work are fully aligned with these principles.
This policy will enable us to ensure we won’t be accepting funds from organisations that have ties with:
- Modern slavery
- Arms and/or military surveillance and warfare technology
- Fossil fuels
- Human rights violations
- Ecocidal activities
- Current colonial activities*
*The IPCC Sixth Assessment Report (AR6), specifically the Working Group II contribution titled Climate Change 2022: Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability, identifies colonialism as a driver of climate vulnerability.
While we work on our policy, we are actively taking steps to ethically align across the board and have already switched to an ethical pension scheme and continuously apply the same principles to our supply chain decision making process.
Our music industry champions
Music has always been at the heart of Julie’s Bicycle. While our work now spans the full cultural landscape, we continue to collaborate closely with artists, labels, independent companies, festivals and live events to support climate action across the music industry.
From early partnerships to today’s work with movements like Music Declares Emergency and networks like IMPALA, our music community remains a powerful driver of change – embedding sustainability into every corner of the ecosystem and amplifying action on a global stage.
SPOTLIGHT
Billie Eilish: champion for change
In 2025, Billie Eilish nominated us to be part of her Changemaker Initiative. Thanks to Billie and her fans, we joined an incredible group of nonprofit organisations across Europe supporting climate action.
Her contribution highlights how artists can drive climate action, and we’re excited to continue working together to inspire change within the creative community.
Our corporate and pro-bono partners
Julie’s Bicycle benefits from the support of forward-thinking corporate partners and pro-bono service providers. Festival Republic has championed our work for more than a decade, with ZX Lidars providing recent support. Previous partnerships include Good Energy, helping the creative sector transition to renewable energy. Meanwhile CMS and Greenhouse, contribute vital services that help us run efficiently and effectively.
If your company is dedicated to a sustainable future and aligned with our mission, we would love to explore how you can contribute through corporate donations, sponsorship, or pro-bono support.
