FUNDING OPPORTUNITY: Applications for the Youth Climate Changemakers Fund are open. Generation Climate Europe are supporting young people and youth organisations across Europe who are driving climate action but are often under-resourced. You don’t need to be a climate expert to apply. If you’re new to climate work, expanding projects, or working with underrepresented communities they want to hear from you. Deadline to apply is Mon 26 Jan.
OPEN CALL: The Hot House Writers Development Lab from Climate Spring is open for applications. This 8-week lab supports screen writing talent in creating engaging and commercially viable climate stories for film and TV, while offering industry exposure and expert guidance. Open to individual writers and writing partnerships. Deadline to apply is Fri 30 Jan.
FUNDING OPPORTUNITY: Ocean Culture Life has opened its Storytelling Grants to creators around the world – giving them the funding, platform, and support to bring ocean stories to life. Now in its fourth year they are looking for stories that spark wonder and shift perspectives, share knowledge and improve ocean literacy and drive action to safeguard marine life and habitats. Deadline to apply for this round is Sat 31 Jan.
OPEN CALL: The Bethnal Green Nature Reserve is offering four micro-grants for artists to create billboard artworks responding to climate change and climate adaptation. They are looking for bold, accessible and imaginative proposals that help people engage with climate issues in ways that feel relevant, surprising and grounded in everyday life. Open to artists, designers, writers, illustrators and creatives working in any medium. Deadline to apply is Wed 25 Feb.
